As a Professional Designer, I have over 20 years experience visually communicating the marketing needs of many types of businesses-small and large including Fortune 500 Corporations the likes of Microsoft and Panasonic. My mastery of web design and marketing are a direct result of years of working with other professionals on many different projects.
FOR EXAMPLE: My skills, while paired up with a web programmer, were billed out at over $300 per hour working as the Web Design Consultant for an IT Consulting Firm. My assignments were to evaluate and re-design sites that were not effective for these massive companies who hired the expensive IT Consulting Firm for our talents. The point I’m trying to make, is if you want your business website to generate profits, you don’t have to pay a pricey consulting firm or marketing company incredibly high fees to get the same results from a professional Web Design and Marketing Consultant like me, who works within your budget.
Recently, much more of my business comes from companies who want to promote their goods and services by having control over website changes themselves by using content management (CMS) created sites. Realtors and Wedding industties can really benefit from this type of control saving a good deal of money on site maintenance costs.
I constantly strive to stay up to speed on new web technology so I can focus on website profitabiltiy, not on just the design concepts. Search engine optimization, functionality and marketability through web, print and social media are services my clients can count on.
SOME HISTORY: My design career started back in the early 80’s before there was “What You See Is What You Get” or “WYSIWYG”. Everything had to be prepared by hand before hitting a printing press. Layouts were done with hand-set type, cut and pasted to a hand-drawn inked art board. The type had to be “speced-out” first by counting each character before it was set the old-fashioned way on a phototypesetter. To create art this way was so time consuming and changes were extremely difficult. During this period of time, I ran my own Design and Typesetting business in Culver City, California with my mom. I had learned the art of typesetting while working for a couple of years at Rockwell International, El Segundo in their art department so at a very young age I started my own graphic design business.
From there I’ve designed hundreds of projects for print shops, ad agencies, design studios, large and small businesses. Drawn technical illustrations for the aerospace industry, created a 120 page full-color horse publication, 500 page employee manual, and the list goes on. From corporate design to the start-up, I have the background needed to get the job done!
Seeing the world on horseback, creating really cool cocktails as a part-time mobile bartender, brainstorming ideas for home decor, fine art and painting, sewing home decor projects, and preserving for all time, my own family memories in hard cover photo books I design. These precious photos will be handed down through the generations.
